Summit County Taxing Entities
Local property taxes fund organizations that provide services for our communities like fire and police protection, schools, roads, libraries, water, trash collection, recreation, and more. The Summit County Treasurer’s office collects the property taxes on behalf of these organizations (school districts, municipalities, and special service districts), or “taxing entities,” and disburses the taxes to those entities. Each taxing entity’s governing body sets its own tax rate based on its budgetary needs.Summit County's taxing entities, and their contact information, are listed below. To obtain information about budgets, taxes, or services provided by the various taxing entities, please contact each entity directly.
